Food - the common source of bioenergy for humanity and many of its descendants, the ritual and/or practical ingestion of biomatter for energy continues through much of Terragen space.
This is not to say that food is unchanged - far from the truth, in fact. Food has expanded to cover materials far beyond baseline, historical human comestibles. There are clades which subsist quite happily on organic-rich dirt, others which are filter-feeders garnering their nutrition quite literally 'on the fly', and still others whose only approach to eating is better considered fuelling their biologics.
There are some large, common areas of food legends, however, shared amongst many of those who've chosen or been chosen to eat. These include (but certainly aren't limited to):
