Virch off, you halfmelt!

Space Era swearing

Newcomers to the advanced planets and orbithabs of the sephirotic empires and beyond will often find that he has limited knowledge of practical aspects of everyday life in the New Brave Galaxy. One aspect is words not found in the nice episodes of "Adventures of Starhiker" or "Little ring on the orbit". Here is the selection of what you might hear in the crowded bar in the Outer Reaches:

"blackhole" - come on, only naughty six-year olds talk like this!
"nuke" - versatile four-letter word can be used as noun, verb, adjective...
"goosphere" - goo, or mass of nanotechnology, is often used in impolite terms. It is the less strong word, almost acceptable in the society.

Expressions below have significantly greater molecular weight:
"regoo" (= recycled goo)
"preproeff" (= pre-provolved, before being changed to a sapient. Polite word for a provolved being is not "proeff", but prolve)
"proeff yourself!"
"virch" - especially: "virch out of me!" (= virtual reality)

Sexual themes are, naturally, common in swearing. Words "fifthman" and "sixthgirl" concern the six sexual types which modern humanity can have.

If you are unimpressed with somebody's intellect, you can call him "meme" (less strong) or "halfhole".
If you want to indicate, that words of your speaker are doubtful and you don't believe them at all, you can say like: "aha, and Sagittarius wormhole has three ends".

Technology, bioborgs, and ai are sometimes addressed with one of the following: "melt", "melted", "tinrust" or "halfmelt".

If you decide to yourself use any of the "southparkin" mentioned in this page, don't blame us for what happens to you afterwards! For example, you may be answered back with the term "flatworm" or "matrixbubbler". The meaning of the latter is obscure, but may be connected to one of 2D medias of the pre-singularity era. Bioborgs and cyborgs fare badly, since they are insulted with both categories of terms...

On the other hand, if someone shouts: "You rustshitter!", don't reach for your Militechnics Tandom. This is a positive exclamation, akin to the pre-singularity era "You lucky bastard!". It comes from the wealthy trendy youths who operate with fusion plant within their improved bodies, which gives iron as the final product of nuclear fusion. (see The Fastmen Lifestyle)

In the year 23708 Loc.Tim., the powerful ai governing planet Thasaiya prohibited swearing and imposed serious consequences on beings doing so. Either because of these, or some other decisions, within about a decade most of citizens emigrated, and now Thasaiya is inhabited by a little more than a monastery of Reformed Tolerikerian Church.
