In classical Tiplerism, the extremely hot state of the collapsing universe, where supposed superintelligences ("Angels") exist as computational systems somehow encoded in the particle interactions. Current cosmology rules out a collapse at the end of our current universe; but some Omegaists belive that such a collapse could be engineered by archailects of a sufficiently high toposophic status.
Alphaism has adopted the concept of Angel Plasma and applied it to the high-energy environment at the beginning of the Universe, just after the Big Bang.
