Equalizer Civilisation

The Equalizer Civilisation began as a ideological/technocratic fundamentalist unification of the minor colony world of Pnas Greenen. After unifying the local culture, it developed into an infamous highly expansive human empire that attempted to implement true equality among all humans and human derived civilisations by a regimen of nanosurgical mental modifications, ubiquitous and perhaps ridiculously ambitious attempt at a surveillance (over interstellar distances!) and massive agent software networks. Beginning in the 9600s The Equalizer Civilisation blossomed in the sparsely inhabited Monoceros Outer Volume region among a number of relatively low tech local systems. It collapsed within a few centuries, but apparently wiped out most humans in the volume.

The Equivocalists

The Equivocalist augmented human nation of the TRHN have developed a language based on Solresol, invented on Earth in 1829 by Jean-Francois Sudre. This is a language based on combinations of the Tonic scale "doremifasolatido", which can be sung and spoken, giving them the ability to communicate two different messages at the same time,one spoken, the other sung. The Equivocalists call these two messages the voice and countervoice. The custom of the Equivocalist society, however, is that it is normal for each augmented hu to give both sides of any argument at the same time, both thesis and antithesis. Example:

1st individual:
voice "Sophont rights of the individual are paramount."
countervoice "The responsibilities of any individual to society are most important of all."
2nd individual
voice "I agree with you."
countervoice "twerp"

The result is debates are shorter, giving more time for action. These augmented hu are constantly connected to their habitat net, but use Solresol for decision making. It is impolite to say the same thing with both voices except when an extremely important and life threatening subject is being discussed.

To put that in perspective, it takes one million ergs to make a joule of energy at it takes 4,184 joules to heat one kilogram of water at 1 degree C at 25 C (because the specific heat changes with temperature of a substance). The baseline human body heat output is 10 million joules or 10 trillion ergs in one day. So power output is an average of 115 watts. More when doing daily activities and less when inactive or asleep.

The corporation-intelligence (the employees were all linked into an AI-culture constructed by The Church of the Resurrected E�) announced its withdrawal and dissolution, and disbanded in an ordered manner. In 6608 the Murmant announced evidence that elements of the Xo La Y, apparently acting under direct orders from a member of the Solaris Divine Order had infiltrated the corporation and infected it with poison memes. In addition, a team of the Xo La Y had kidnapped and likely assimilated several key individuals. Despite vigorous denials from the Solar Dominion several polities (especially Cyberia and NoCoZo) began to demand continuous monitoring of the Xo La Y whenever they entered their space.
