O-type Star

The O type star is the first and brightest in the sequence of spectral types, and are distinguished by lines of ionized helium. Often neutral helium and weak hydrogen lines are also visible. An O5 type star generally has a mass of about 40 times that of Sol, a luminosity of 405,000 times as much, and and a surface temperature of some 40,000° Kelvin. It is so hot it burns blue-white in colour. Being so hot and bright this type of star burns up all its fuel very quickly. When it collapses, having exhausted all its fuel, an O type star will usually become a large black hole. An O5 will spend only about million years on the main sequence. These stars therefore are very rare, on average about one in every billion cubic light years of space. Only one star in 4 million is an O-type. Despite having an expansive life-zone, O-type stars never have life-supporting planets, as they do not endure long enough for life to form. However they are highly prized by development corporations, amat farmers, and stellar engineers.

Oath of Secrecy

An Oath of Secrecy is a small container of tasteless liquid that contains a special complex of nanomachines. When drunk, the nanomachines migrate to the host's brain and restructure the connections between memories or knowledge of classified or secret information and the volitional centers that control speech and other forms of communications. The upshot of all this is that after taking an Oath of Secrecy a person will still retain knowledge of the information covered by the Oath but will be utterly unable to muster the volition or will to disclose, discuss or even hint at the information that is restricted and covered by the Oath. Other variants are the Oath of Allegiance, Oath of Vengeance, Oath of Friendship and Oaths of Marriage. Some are used by corps., governments or churches while others are used in the ceremonies of some clades or sub-clade variants.

Body of knowledge and meme-complexes pertaining to actual and/or supposed or postulated realities behind the surface appearances. The term occult also defines anything which is undisclosed, concealed, or not easily perceived.

It may include everything from common superstitions through psychicism and shamanism, to tantra, yoga, mysticism and noetics.

Occultism is often based on the premise that certain correspondences unite all things, so that stars, planets, gems, colors, chakras, elements, toposophic kingdoms, and phyles are interlinked. Various branches of occult studies and practice includes astrology, ceremonial magick, channelling, chionics, crystals, esotericism, hermeticism, numerology, palmistry, paranormal studies, psionics, tarot, and more.

Often absurdly sensationalized, distorted, and trivialized, especially as a rebellion against official religion and establishment. Common pseudo-occult aesthetics include dressing in black, applying teratonous augmentations, and so on.

True occultists are much rarer, and constitute various subcultures and individual endeavours dedicated to penetrating deep into the causal mysteries of universal being and the Universal Mind; including hidden dimensions of existence from the psychic and paraphysical to the divine. (more or less synonymous with the esoterics.)
