The romanticized lawless of the frontier world displayed by the Western Was replaced by equally romantic concepts of the High Frontier or Wild Frontier.
The romanticised and mythologized notion of the frontier - whether the outer solar system of the interplanetary age or the Outer Volumes and the Periphery today, as an exciting and lawless place. See also The Wilds
Human bionts (may be baseline, nearbaseline, or even moderate tweaks, rianths, cyborgs, su, etc) living without the supervision of higher toposophic intellects. They have their own governments, industry, etc, just like in the days of Old Earth
Three types:Some conservative wildhu polities believe that a massive, underground, highly coordinated ai organization is infiltrating their government, media, localnets, economies, schools and churches. In fact most reserves are specifically set aside by the ai themselves for study of nearbaseline hu, and no such subversion exists.
Term used by some low sapient clades and cultures from the ComEmp period onwards for the region beyond the Civilized Galaxy - usually romanticised as a place full of exotic barbarian empires, petty local warlords, feral baselines, and rogue aioids, autowars, and archailects. Near-baseline and turingrade virches and interactives are full of interactives of adventures in the Wilds, where the hero faces and overcomes innumerable (and exceedingly improbable and fantastic) enemies and monsters.

Utopia Sphere dyson swarm, consists of billions of habitats and biospheres, populated by sophont and subsophont/subsapient beings. A similar nearby dyson is called Wallace.
The larger number of biospheres are inhabited by subsophont animal and plant life, which are provided with optimal conditions and a stable ecology. Many other habitats are home to presapient life and freed partial provolves, some of which have established tribal communities. A somewhat smaller number have prims and low tech sapients of all clades and categories, from hu to splice and neogen (but rarely more than one species per habitat). The habitats are very popular with biologists, sophontologists, and ethnologists. The system is linked by a medium gauge wormhole for visitors, and there are also several godweb archailect-only links for the Utopia Sphere minds and their seraiph.Personal transportation device.
Uses a combination of nanotube construction and nanotech effector systems to duplicate the structure and capabilities of a bird's wings in a device that can be worn by a standard adult baseline/nearbaseline like a backpack harness. Wingpacks typically employ interlocking 'feathers' of woven nanotube sheets and telescoping diamondoid rods to enable them to fold to very small size (generally 1/10m on a side) when not in use. A standard Wingpack is capable of operating for several hours in a standard Earth level gravity field or equivalent.Failing to give a program or nanodevice a correct stopping condition.
