Orion's Arm - The Role-Playing Game |
There had been a project to create an OA
RPG with a unique set of rules "from the ground up". However, modelling
a universe as complex as the Orion's Arm setting, and with as vast a
range of technologies, clades and especially toposophic levels, as in
OA turned out to be rather more complex than was anticipated. In
addition, some of the people were previously involved in the first such
project are no longer available. Therefore the Orion's Arm Roleplaying
Game has been put on hold for the time being. If there is interest in
it in the future, it may be taken up again, either starting from
scratch or else building upon the previous work in progress (known as
GAMM-D, which uses an Exponential Scale for Traits, Talents, and
Skills), at some future time.
A version of the OA setting, or part of
the OA setting, created in some existing suitably flexible RPG system
is not at all out of the question, although at present we do not have a
group actively working on such a project.
