The Solar Dominion is quite a traditional, ceremonial culture, based on ageless customs and dogmas, so though the Dominion itself is vast, to say the least, little variation is found throughout its systems.
Clothing for humans and human-like clades in the Dominion is mainly designed not to 'cover' the body, but to exalt its shape, be it by revealing portions of body or by using elongated headgear and cascading tissues. Fabrics and materials tend to be as bright as possible, even glowing or shining. For instance airy, flowing veils, normally white, are used quite often as skirts, togae or pallia, whereas a gold-weave cloth adorned with pearls could very well make an excellent decorative chiton.
Underwear is seldom used at all, while footwear is either not worn or consists of simple sandals, maybe with some light decoration, heels, or even air-cushions able to softly glide the wearer across a floor, even a good foot above ground, depending on rank within the aicracy. Most people also make abundant use of jewels: various shades of gold are made into long earrings, pendants, curved bracelets, ankle chains and headgears. This gold is exquisitely crafted in triangles, circles, sunbursts and other popular motifs. Often the gems used to complete such jewelry are quite big and shiny: they're normally of round shape and possessing a warm gold/amber water.
Light has a special place both in Dominion philosophy and dress: as previously hinted, the worshippers of the Lord of Rays often emit light. Any item be it a necklace, a tiara or a whole dress, may have specifically built-in especially luminous nanites that can project patterns of light, a tenuous glow, or nearly blinding halos and "solar" coronas.
Makeup is used in the same way and style as clothings: gold, white and amber hues, often shining, always used to enhance features and without hiding them, and sometimes drawing intricate patterns on the face and body of a person. White usually represents sacredness and maidenhood, gold greatness and power, amber passion and courage. The motives often resemble pictograms or hieroglyphs, and they can be set to appear/disappear/change when certain emotional states manifest themselves or fade away.
The people of the aicracy themselves are sometimes godlike in their brilliant beauty: many have perfect proportions and golden, seemingly metallic skin, others feature long hair similar to threads of pure light, and some can appear to have sunlike blazing eyes.
Vecs often look like golden statues, similar to ancient Greek works of art. Regarding splices and rianths, there are many wonderful beings seemingly descended from some classic firmament of gods: some have hawk heads, some resemble lions, others have great feathered wings.
Pets are often sentient cats, falcons, great felines and serpents.
