Philosophies

Whether using mind and reason, or intuition and feeling, or observation of the natural world or the innermost activities of sophont beings, philosophy seeks to provide a larger framework for understanding and action. While the most profound philosophies are usually those of the great archailects and powers, sometimes it happens that a simple near-baseline can create ideas of great value and beauty.

Anthropism

Ambrosianism - an extreme form of incarnationalism and identity theory that argues that every sentient is the avatar of an Archailect somewhere and hence is identical to that Archailect.

Bioism - biosphere/life-centered ethical and pragmatic approach

Cosmism

Expiationism - philosophy or hypothesis that trans-sapients are to sapient beings as sapient beings are to sentient life, and that on that sapient beings owe a moral, karmic, or historical debt must be paid

Immedeism -seeks to understand the media of experience, by "touch" real things as much as possible, without any intervening "gloves". For Immedeists, experience of any type is a layer that must be recognized and if possible, penetrated in order to reach a more fundamental level.

The Mind-Body Problem

MPA Materialism - the sephirotic memetic/ideology of the MPA

Keterism - the memetic/ideology of the Keter dominion

Negentropism - the memetic/ideology of the Negentropy Alliance, concerned with the preservation of life, order, and information and minimisation of the effects of entropy

Omegism - popular eschatological religio-philosophico-ideological meme-complex, which projects a state of divine or archailectual unity as the goal to which history and the universe is evolving

Pan-Sophontism and the Pan-Sophontist Movement - Provolve ideological; movement that says that as it is possible for subsapient life to be raised up to sophonts, it is only ethical that they should be

Platonic Materialism

School of Continuous Death - Heterodox Sophic League philosophical movement, which argued that survival is an illusion, and that one actually transforms into a distinct, new being with each moment that passes. Well known as popularizers of Notees.

Transhumanism - Information, Interplanetary, and early First Federation era philosophy/lifestyle that sought the continuation and acceleration of the evolution of intelligent life beyond baseline limitations by means of science and technology, guided by life promoting principles and values.

Transitionism - the philosophy of virtual existence and its relationship to biological intelligence
