Ornate vacuum-adapted Bioborg-Tweak clade, originating from New Callisto

Two individuals of the Dianisnytheir clade, aka Flying Crested Tiger-Monkeys. They are currently healing the orwood with regrowth gel after multiple micrometeoroid impacts.
The body is a humanoid bioborg-tweak with two legs and four arms. A thick hide holds the body together against the vacuum of space, and is covered in a thick fur mimicking a tiger's colors. Later templates added more variety to fur patterns; more colors, gradients, and other patterns like leopard print are used. A standard bioborg addition is a large horn-shaped crest located on the back. This horn contains compressed carbon dioxide which can be released in small bursts, accelerating the body in precise directions when in zero-g. On both sides of the crest are two extra manipulators that can be used to hold on to a structure for an extended period of time while freeing up the four hands for other activities. The crest is usually a centerpiece in ornate body decorations, which are usually attached to the two back manipulators. Finally a computronium implant extends brain power to control these added functions and allows them to reach bright or superbright levels of competency in the modern era.
History:
The Dianisnytheir clade can be traced back to the early 3000s AT in the Jadern Range, New Callisto. The body plan developed organically over a century and proved popular with residents who preferred to live on the outside in between the branches of the Allwis Orwood. Its ease of travel through the dispersed low gravity vacuum environment and the perceived beauty of the design were two major factors in the popularity of the body plan. The new clade spread to the other Orwoods of the Jadern Range and beyond. Notably many members of the 'T' Family adopted this body plan, who then spread the morphotype to other systems in the Inner Sphere and beyond.
The original culture of outside living would not last in New Callisto however, as many were scarred mentally and physically during various terrorist attacks during a vec uprising dubbed the Ranger Rebellions. This created a mentality of seeking protection from the outside, and many moved inside the Orwoods, removing the unique usefulness of the design. But in the millennia since, the outside culture has seen rebounds in other systems, most notably in the Communion system of Caerwactod and the former Biovirate volumes, (thanks to many moving to New New Callisto).
Culture:
Due to the separation of different diaspora groups, not one single culture developed, but a shared origin and morphotype has preserved some commonalities. Living in or on orwoods is still common, and creating new space and vacuum adapted flora is an avocation for many.
For those who live in the Orwoods, specifically the environments filled with a medium, the crest is diminished in purpose. Many ideas have come from this, but the most popular is modifying the crest's hole to make unique arrangements of noises, more specifically as a musical instrument. This gives a certain degree of uniqueness because it is played using the sophont's mind directly, causing juveniles to quickly learn how to control it. This then can make melodies, or if multiple people are playing, a full chorus.
