They conclude that it's either an extreme trans-neptunian object, a super-terrestrial planet or a very cool brown dwarf.
Shall we wait until they figure out which before we write about its settlement?

The curious fact is that this object has been discovered very near in the sky to where Alpha Centauri is, which seems like too much of a coincidence.
I suspect it is an imaging artifact of some sort, or maybe an artificial artifact on its way between the two systems (a beamrider?) (unlikely) but not a random planet in our system.
