Bio: I grew up wondering about existence and learning to speak both religion and science. When I went to college to study physics, it was the inevitable transition to the next degree of introspection. I have spent my years since continuing to allow the presence of reality to gnaw at me. I optimistically look forward to perceiving more of it tomorrow than I do today.

In college, I had the fortune of seeing a carbon nanotube printer in action. I couldn't get it out of my head that this would be how we would build a space elevator. But my professor explained that nanotubes always bifurcate like tree roots, so they didn't have a lot of hope that they could grow giant towers into the sky. Personally, I think tree root towers would be much more interesting anyway. Maybe we could turn the Earth into a giant Dyson Tree!
