There are hundreds of stars in the WOW! signal search area. It is not really surprising that some of them are reasonably similar to the Sun.

My head-canon is that the WOW! signal is just ship-to-ship communication between craft passing by the Solar System. We can't really tell whether or not these signals originate from inhabited worlds or habitats, or if they come from probes, or if they just come from natural sources.

Thanks, I'd never heard of that particular astronomer.
