New Celestia Web site and Forum - selden - 07-30-2016 With permission from Chris Laurel, the official Celestia Web site has been transferred to http://celestiaproject.net/ The new site is being run by a Celestia enthusiast in Russia and includes a Web Forum at http://celestiaproject.net/forum/ Many of its administrative pages were copied from the original Forum, but I declined the offer to moderate the new one, primarily for health reasons. Most of the things I wanted in Celestia are available in Space Engine, also developed by a Russian; but Celestia is much easier to work with when making add-ons. RE: New Celestia Web site and Forum - selden - 07-31-2016 Celestia is also "lighter" -- not requiring as much out of a system. SpaceEngine is unusably slow on my computer.
