Shouldn't MW (megawatts) be megawatt hours? Or am I just confused?

EDIT: I believe I was confused. 300 MW= 2,629,733 kW·h/yr. Which is much less than 1% of the EU's 2013 power consumption.

By 87 AT, European power consumption will presumably be a lot higher, so fusion will be an even smaller contribution to the whole. This is why fusion remains insignificant for several decades after the first successful reactor. Hopefully this allows the renewables sector to become even more competitive at the same time.
