The truncated cube is exactly as described in the article. I'll have to try making a better illustration for this system, showing the cuboid basis for blockbot construction.

Excellent stuff, Steve.

One trick I liked in that youtube video is the way the blockbots were picking up inert components like tabletops and spacers, and presumably cushions or other parts. Structures didn't have to be 100% blockbot.
