Thanks How long does it take in the Eleventh Millennium AT to make a McKendree Cylinder? An hour? A day? A week?
Tom Mazanec General Setting Discussion 7 69 01-16-2023, 04:54 AM

Also red dwarfs are more common than white dwarfs.

How many McKendree Cylinders could be built in the Solar System?

Any of those ringworlds around red as opposed to white dwarfs?

For a less ambitious scenario would six equidistant Banks Orbitals be stable for millennia?
Tom Mazanec General Setting Discussion 7 62 01-12-2023, 10:36 PM

 1) Stability Would Banks Orbitals be significantly more stable than Ringworlds if, for some reason, maintenance were temporarily interrupted? I know Ringworlds are unstable in the short term. 2) Pop...

How would the fact that all these other chemicals (except water) contract instead of expand when they freeze, affect the oceans on these worlds?
