Tsin'gakh has always had a spectral type of G0V, and never was a G5V star. If you feel there are too many planets in the system, feel free to remove Nir'takh (the outermost world).

Transmutations are usually carried out in particle accelerators, and gold was first transmuted from lead in 1980. Horrendously impractical, but doable (even without a fusion reactor). Radtech497
