Proof-reading EG
The 7690 date is probably the old C.E. date, before we adopted the After Tranquillity calendar. Quite often Alan Kazlev edited the C.E. date by subtracting 2000 years, which is probably accurate enough in some frames of reference.

Fixed.

The term “gravity wave” (a fluid dynamics term) is misused in several locations where “gravitational wave” (a space-time term) is appropriate.

Some examples are in

I should have realised that, having corrected other people in the past.

In the “Articles” section of https://www.orionsarm.com/eg-topic/45b571ffbbf6b (Power generation) the topic “Core Breach” has two sub-topics, titled Software and Hardware. Immediately afterward there is the separate topic “Core Breach (Hardware)” which contains exactly the same text as the preceding Hardware sub-topic.

Suggestion: create the topic “Core Breach (Software)” and delete the combined topic titled just “Core Breach”.

The article, https://www.orionsarm.com/eg-article/46411e9d02b29 (Conversion drive) has a paragraph which refers to femtoscale engineering, which I understand to have been eliminated from OA canon.

Suggestion: remove the phrases which include the term “femtoscale engineering” or similar. The remaining description seems to stand on its own.

5th paragraph of
'lossless conversion'
The construction of nuclear-scale meshes is complex, even for third toposophic minds, and is an example of femtoscale engineering. Ideally, the mesh (or mesh panels) are formed from single macromagmolecular structures; a sparse 2-dimensional crystal with gaps no wider than ~0.85 femtometres (the approximate diameter of a proton). Much denser meshes (such as pure mag-graphene) and much sparser meshes are easier to fabricate, but the former can be several orders of magnitude heavier than the ideal mesh and the latter do not guarantee total conversion. The lightest meshes and most efficient designs are hallmarks of S4 femto engineering.

Technically 'femtotech' - meaning a tech equivalent to nanotech but operating on the femtometer scale, was removed from the setting. This was prior to the addition of magmatter, which does technically allow complex structures (and hence in principle engineering of some kind) at that scale. But it is not self-repping 'femtobots' such as OA used to have.

I think I’ve come across a discrepancy in the descriptions of void bubbles/void motes which are being used for ship propulsion.

The article about the Halo Drive at https://www.orionsarm.com/eg-article/493ea0a001290 comments on the blue glow surrounding Halo Ships, somehow related to Cherenkov radiation.

In contrast, other articles, including the description of the High Road in the article at https://www.orionsarm.com/eg-article/58b55a11cbb93, explicitly say that the void motes can only be detected by the distortion of starlight when it is passing through high concentrations of them, not mentioning any glow.

I think it might be appropriate to remove the mention of blue light and Cherenkov radiation from the Halo Drive article. So far, I haven’t seen it mentioned elsewhere. (Also, it isn’t obvious to me where any Cherenkov radiation would be coming from. It’s usually created by charged particles traveling faster than the speed of light in the medium, as from high energy charged particles traversing the water surrounding some types of nuclear reactors, or from high energy cosmic rays when they encounter an atmosphere.)

I'd think Unruh radiation would be more likely to be visible near a Void bubble. At high speeds, in the frame of reference of the ship, the universe would appear to emit light, which would be bent around the void bubble and re-emitted in all directions.

My reading of the article seems to suggest that the existence of Unruh radiation is controversial.

Might synchrotron radiation be present? Although that’s caused by accelerated charged particles. I dunno how or if it results from accelerated magnetic fields. (Going in a circle to stay near a ship would be acceleration.)
