Communists are still more right wing than I am

I think that when Romanians come to Western Europe they get more left wing quick, at least if they're students or some such. A good friend of mine at university, from Bucharest, went from 'I wouldn't let my kid be anywhere near gay people' to 'I think same-sex marriage should be legal in every country' within about two weeks of getting to the UK. As a social attitudes example.

On this scale, I am at Economic Left/Right: -8.38, Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.74 , for what it's worth.
