Most of the entries disregard the technical requirements of the acceleration and deceleration phase motors and concentrate on social and environmental organisation - both of which are (of course) very important, but I'd like to have seen more calculations to do with energy and propulsion. Generation ships are much slower than most interstellar concepts, so have significant savings on fuel and shielding; but that doesn't mean you can ignore these factors.
