Happy Tranquility Day!
#1
The future isn't here yet. But don't worry. It will be. Today is the beginning of the new year in the Tranquility calendar!

This project began ~ 25 years ago ( June 6, 2000)   and each year has grown in more fascinating directions. Thank you to everyone who has been engaged with the OA universe over the past two and a half decades, and to everyone who will be involved for many years to come!

I know I haven't exactly contributed much to OA yet, probably been more of an annoyance than anything, but this project has greatly inspired me since I started reading it. Hopefully one day I'll be able to add something to the setting that is anywhere near the level of the stuff you guys have written over the years. Here's to another 25 years!

This image is great! It includes slices from the older incarnations of OA, right back to the OA Yahoo page where it started in 2000.

Of course OA includes a number of elements that date even further back, such as Anders Sandberg's Big Ideas, Grand Visions, and John Dollan's Planetary Classification List. Most of this material have been changed so much as to be almost unrecognisable, and no doubt will change even more in the future as new astronomical data comes in.

By a curious coincidence, the calendar for 2025 is the same as 1969.

Very cool image! We should consider a T-shirt or mug or the like with it. Smile

don't worry, you aren't an annoyance Wink . At least I don't think so

also, if you are interested in Aliens, you might be interested in adding Clades to the EG. Terragen ones, of course

Thanks! I've had a few ideas for additions to the EG, including clades, but nothing anywhere near developed enough yet to start an article draft. I imagine I'll start something at some point though, probably after I've read through the EG a bit more thoroughly.

Would it be possible to add this as a banner image at the top of the forum for a bit?

I think you should discuss them in the General Setting Discussion subforum then
