I can't comment on the crypto question at the moment (without doing some thinking about canon at least) but our policy regarding the timeline is to keep the most advanced date at 10,600a.t. We haven't completely sworn off advancing it but it would be a big decision and there would have to be a good reason to do it. Is there a particular reason why your ideas require a move in the current era date?
