Well hello! What interests you about the OAUP setting the most? Big Grin

OAUP's diversity interests me the most, more than any other element. Most fiction in general deals with only humans, and even when they deal with aliens, they typically only keep their original species. Never before OAUP have I seen a piece of fiction which tells a story of humanity branching out into a mindnumbing number of clades!

Nice, hope you enjoy (and have enjoyed) your time here! ^.^

Also, I think it would be better to ask this directly on the discord.

Didn't see the replies, sorry. But that's what interests me too, the creative and different forms of life and ecosystems and societies are super cool! And the fact that they aren't just humanoids is such an improvement over most sci-fi stories

There's nothing wrong with humanoid aliens, they can be done well. Sure, they aren't "realistic," but sometimes the point of the story is not to be realistic, and the story is trying to convey something else. For example, in Star Trek, the different humanoid aliens are a metaphor for real-life people groups and how they interact.
