I didn't originally plan to make it, but given that the staff are busy, and that I think the view would be pretty simply to code, I'll do it!
but how would you plug in models and materials into it though?

Alright, I've tried the Babylon JS Viewer, which is out of the box and requires little configuration

I think it's a good idea to allow readers to view 3D models.

If it can use converted 3DS models, I've got a whole library of OA spacecraft and megastructures (which Tanielu The Little Boy has been using as well, recently). They don't all look good from every angle, but some are passable, especially the ones in the Celestia add-ons.
