For the bill yes but I'd leave the protocol unchanged, AIUI the protocol isn't just about sophonts but any sentient being (e.g. animals, pre-sophont bots etc). They're a more complex concept related to ontologies that define appropriate behaviours relative to the sentience of the entities in question. Rather than just a straight swap at the name if anyone thinks there should be a change it can be discussed in its own thread.
