Hello this is my intro.

I've been reading through orions arm during my down time at work and it's been great at keeping away boredom. Haven't seen anything so detailed and unique in my life so far. And theres still so much to learn about the setting that it's a little intimidating. I hope to be able to contribute soon to the project as it has been very inspirational to me.

I'm an avid roleplayer. Once upon a time I was trying to get into sci-fi ttrpgs and I landed upon eclipse phase. Later in a discussion about EP on /tg/ someone mention orions arm as an inspiration. I took a look but didn't get far at the time. Fast forward many years and I now have a very boring job which gives me lots of down time to read. By chance orions arm pops back into my head and I start getting back into it a couple months ago. Been reading every chance I get and it very much tickles my brain in way to get me writing about it. 
I wonder if eclipse phase was a gateway for anyone else?

Back in 2010 I was searching for images and information about silicon-based life and I stumbled on Orions arm. I’d written sci fi stories and been drawing (very fantasy-based) solar systems for years so it was amazing to see a whole group of people doing the same at a whole new level.
so I joined the yahoo message board and spent the next few years posting every so often in the message group before I started making illustrations and we transitioned to the forum
