I just because aware of Orion's Arm. I'm a lifelong science fiction fan. I've thought for years there needs to be more settings done in the style of Olaf Stapledon's Last and First Men. All Tomorrows got somewhat close and there clearly is a public want for this kind of storytelling since the popularity of that universe has been growing a lot in recent years, even though Cevdet Kosemen doesn't seem interested in expanding it. I just spent the past 6 hours reading pages on the website and this is by far the most comprehensive and intriguing science fiction setting I've ever read. The only things I can think of that might rival it in terms of the amount of worldbuilding are major franchises like Warhammer 40k or Star Wars but even with those its just rivaling in terms of content rather than the themes and complexity which I don't think any other setting could beat. Happy to be here and contribute any way I can.

Hi there - Welcome to OA!
Thanks you for the kind words! OA has been around since 2000, gradually expanding all the while. We still add new articles and images every month or so.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have or join in on any discussions that grab your interest. Or start new ones if you'd like to discuss something we aren't currently.
Hope this helps and once again - Welcome to OA
